![]() Admin power or CCR is great but once you can run +3 advisors and have limitless money it becomes redundant, not to mention that I can disown crappy heirs and gamble for better ones. If playing Qing I would never claim it in a million years and the only reason I take it as Yuan is because I have to in order to form the nation. Firstly, the Mandate of Heaven government type isnt even that great to warrant being so horrible to deal with. So there we are, my run feels completely ruined and I feel, not to be dramatic or anything but, cheated. Other than random events I see no way of getting enough mandate to survive and I'm not even sure I can beat the 10k troop Ming whose tributaries (which should in my opinion be mine) have 100% liberty desire yet are not declaring freedom. Now I have a heavily declining mandate which I can't give away and which will turn my troops into paper soon enough and am unable to get any tributaries without waiting out the peace period with Ming (or truce breaking and further ruining my country). I was under the impression that their tributaries would shift to me, it makes perfect sense if they just lost the Mandate to a greater foe but no no. The Mandate is one of the most horrendous things ever. Soon after, and much sword mana later, we would fight again for the Mandate of Heaven.įollowing an easy victory I was rewarded with the Mandate, potentially the only government type worse than Horde.and that's it.No, really that's it. The war was a resounding success and I took most of the necessary provinces from them. I threw in hundreds of Sword mana to keep my unity up as I didn't want to get too close to Russia at this point in time, Uzbek being the only nation between us.Īfter sometime they got that event and their Mandate dropped, I waited for it to go to 0 and attacked. Still, after taking Mongolia, Buryatia, Korchin, the Manchu tribes, Yarkrand (vassalized and fed Chagatai to them) and Korea, I prepared for the stand off with Ming. Couple this with frequent events that decrease Horde Unity and frequent deaths of kings with young heirs who can't be khans and you have a real fun time preparing for the eventual war. ![]() ![]() This is somewhat offset by Horde mechanics which I highly dislike, Horde Unity is a ticking time bomb which you either delay with sword mana or burn all your development away and it eternally decays at an astounding rate. Things went well enough through out, being a Ming tributary has its perks as you get practically free expansions with no fear of retribution. So, playing an Oirat game pushing toward forming the great Yuan, as this was one of the things that I most looked forward to when I saw the expansion. I know that people have different preferences so I just wanted to put that out there. Please note that everything is my personal opinion. I hope this doesn't end up looking like a rant and I'll do my best to avoid to being that. Been a while since I posted but I came across something me as I played the game.
